Renewals in another currency show what the member pays, and reports keep the currency they were sent in

A member whose auto-renewal stays in US dollars after your workspace moved to pounds now sees their renewal in US dollars on Pay My Renewal — the amount they will be charged — not in pounds. A renewal charged in another currency and left out of your books shows what the member paid, marked “not in your books”, on their record, Declined Renewals and Renewal Watch, and dues-history.csv says what Stripe charged; it no longer reads as a £0 payment. When Stripe’s charge for such a renewal can’t be read at the time, the website reads it again each night and books what Stripe settled. Treasurer’s reports the board already got keep the currency they were sent in after a currency change, on the board’s page, the PDFs and the export. A price typed with a decimal comma, “12,50”, is read as 12.50 again, and “C$25” is read in every money box; “1.000.000” is a million, and “25.000”, which could be 25,000 or 25, is refused rather than guessed at. Set Up Payments opens your Stripe account in your Date & Money Format’s country until you choose a currency, says where before it starts, and asks for your own country’s tax number and bank details, not the US ones. A workspace that set only Canadian, Australian or New Zealand dollars or pounds now writes them its country’s way, and the format keeps following the currency until you choose one.

Part of A Canadian, British or Australian association can work in its own currency.
