A Canadian, British or Australian association can work in its own currency
Settings → The Basics has a Currency box: US dollars, Canadian dollars, British pounds or Australian dollars. Every price, total and email is then written in it — “£40” for a British association, “$40” in Canada and Australia, where dollars are your own — checkout and auto-renewing dues charge it, promo codes take it off, and the smallest card payment is the currency’s (50¢, or 30p for pounds). Connect Stripe before any money is recorded and the currency is set from your Stripe account; an account made here for a Canadian, British or Australian workspace is opened in that country, so it pays out in your currency. Money reads Stripe in your currency: a payment charged in it counts at what was charged, with Stripe’s fee turned back at the rate Stripe converted that payment at, and anything Stripe has only in another currency is left out and named — Reconcile Stripe says “Your Stripe account settles in GBP, but your books are in USD” instead of showing $0.00 everywhere. Once money is recorded, changing the currency asks first, because nothing already recorded is converted. Address boxes follow your date format’s country: Province and Postal Code in Canada, County and Postcode in the UK, State and Postcode in Australia, with phone examples to match, and the store asks for a shipping address in your country. The time zone list now has every Canadian and Australian clock — St. John’s, Halifax, Winnipeg, Regina, Edmonton, Brisbane, Adelaide, Darwin and Hobart among them. A workspace that sets nothing stays in US dollars, and OrgHQ’s own plan is billed in US dollars.
