A check recorded on a member’s record is an entry in Money

When you record a check or cash payment on a person’s record — the amount with Extend 1 Year, or Record Early Payment — it now goes into Money as a Membership Dues entry in your main account, dated the day you recorded it, with the member as the payer. Before, it was counted as if it had been paid online through Stripe: the Stripe account’s balance read too high, the statement called it online, and the check’s deposit had no right place in your books. As an entry it is counted once, you can edit it like any other, and you tick it Cleared when the deposit shows on your bank statement, so Checking reconciles. Payments already recorded this way since October 4 were moved into Money the same way.
