The treasurer’s report compares each month with the one before and the same month last year
The monthly report to the board now shows the month just closed line by line, each line beside the month before and the same month last year, in dollars and — where it means something — percent; the year to date beside the same months of last year; and each account’s balance with how far it is reconciled with the bank. Where last year has nothing it says “no data” instead of inventing a percentage, and a month still under way is never compared as if it were finished.
