Transfers are never money in or out, the statements use the names an auditor expects, and Money starts when your books do

On the Overview, the All accounts row of “Accounts in September” counted every transfer between your own accounts — a Stripe payout, a move to Savings — as both money in and money out, so its Money in was higher than the glance’s above it. A transfer is in neither column now, and the line under the table says how much moved between your accounts; every other total in Money already left transfers out. The year statement and the treasurer’s report now use nonprofit accounting’s names, prepared on the modified cash basis: a Statement of Activities (revenue, expenses and the change in net assets) and a Statement of Financial Position (each account’s cash, and the total net assets it makes on the cash basis), with the plain words beside them. And Money no longer has months from before your books start — the month the workspace was set up, or the earliest month anything in the books is dated. Those months aren’t offered, can’t be closed, and a workspace set up on October 5 isn’t asked to close September. To enter older history, Accounts → Where your books start → Add Earlier Months moves the start back.
