The Events plan takes a card or US bank account at signup — each CE event is charged when you publish or schedule it
Signing up on the Events plan now asks for a card or a US bank account on Stripe’s secure page, right after the signup form, and nothing is charged then: there is no trial and no subscription. Each event that offers CE is then charged its $39 to that card or bank account when it goes live — when you publish it, or save it with a publish time — once per event, however often you edit it. If the bank declines it or wants to confirm it with you, the event stays a draft, nothing is charged, and the editor says so with the Pay button beside it, as before. Events workspaces made before today keep paying for each CE event from the event’s page. A free trial switched to the Events plan under Billing keeps its card or bank account for the CE events, and the trial subscription still ends with nothing charged. OrgHQ Billing says a card or bank account is on file, and Manage Billing changes it. A US bank account’s debit puts the event live as soon as Stripe accepts it; if the bank refuses it days later, the event’s Pay button comes back and its certificates wait for it. If we can’t confirm a charge, the editor says so rather than “nothing was charged”, and the next save or Pay press records a charge that went through instead of making a second one. And a new workspace’s first dashboard asks, once, how you heard about OrgHQ — skip it if you like.
