Spreadsheet downloads keep their accents, and the member directory finds José when you type Jose
Every “Download as Spreadsheet” — People, the import template, an event’s registrations and evaluations, an application’s submissions — now opens in Excel on Windows with names like José, François and Nguyễn intact, where it used to show garbled letters. A file saved from Excel as “CSV UTF-8” imports with every column, where its first column could go missing. The member directory’s search ignores accents, so “Jose” finds José and “Duc” finds Đức. A new event, news post, plan or form named with accents gets a web address with the letters kept plain (“Calidad Académica” becomes calidad-academica) instead of dropped, and Zoom attendance matches a name typed without its accents. Addresses already made don’t change.
