Only you close a month’s books — and the board’s report waits for it
The Money page could say “Books confirmed for this month”, and the treasurer’s report could go to the board, when nobody had confirmed anything: two bank accounts reconciled counted, and so did sending the report by hand. Now a month is done when you press “Close September 2026” on the Money page. The close records who closed it and when, your note for the board, and why each account you leave unreconciled isn’t, and it keeps the report’s figures as they stood, so a later change can’t alter what the board gets. The scheduled report sends only a month you have closed; until then, the Admin Team members who may use Money get one reminder a month saying where each account stands. Reopening a month asks why and keeps its history, and closing it again offers the board a corrected report. Each account line in the report now says where that account stood for the report’s own month, not today.
